Jane: I didn't know she was struggling I realized she was ill in her early twenties. I guess you could say I was naïve about the severity of my daughter's trouble in middle and high school. Her father used to punch holes in the wall when questioned. I didn't recognize his or her behavior as a full blown mental illness.
